MBA585: CURRENT TOPICS IN BIOSCIENCES MANAGEMENT
This class develops major themes and emerging strategies in the pharmaceutical industry. The focus is on strategic planning, process improvement, outsourcing, globalization, federal regulation, global distribution, and deployment challenges for executives in the pharmaceutical industry. The course will be explored in a series of management presentations, frameworks, industry collaborative projects, and secondary research. An example of my work from this class is in the "Communication & Teamwork" page on the site.

MBA586: LEGAL AND MARKETING DYNAMICS IN PHARMACEUTICALS AND BIOTECHNOLOGY
Exploration of unique environment in which biotechnology research is conducted and resultant drugs and products are sold. Legal restraints affecting pharmaceutical marketing and reimbursement options; regulatory issues; pre-clinical research. Laws limiting or affecting pharmaceutical and biomedical marketing Ethical issues in the research and marketing processes.

MBA590: JENKINS CONSULTING PRACTICUM
This course provides MBA students with the opportunity to apply what they’ve learned by completing virtual consulting projects with local and global organizations. Projects focus on a range of issues, from creating new value for the firm to meeting the requirements for B-Corps certification. Students work in virtual teams to complete deliverables against a defined scope of work. Clients are from Jenkins’ diverse partner base, including early-stage, established firms, and non-profits in technology, manufacturing, service, and other industries.

Life cycle view of organizing and managing technical projects, including project selection, planning, and execution. Methods for managing and controlling project costs, schedules, and scope. Techniques for assessing project risk. Use of popular project management software tools.
